Roadmap to re-opening! 🏏

Good Evening All,

You will be happy to hear that today The Executive Committee and members of the Cricket Committee met to finalise our roadmap to re-opening!

Apologies in advance for the lengthy post but the image below summaries the key points!

The committee have thought long and hard about the most effective way for both the business side of the club to open and also to get cricket being played in as safe manner as possible!

As you will see from the above, the clubhouse and the bar will remain closed until Step 2 on the 17th April, when we will begin to operate our new Table Service to members and guests after the conclusion of the cricket. We have taken the decision to keep the bar closed during the game due to staffing constraints. From the 22nd May we be able to expand our table service to both outdoor and indoor as per Government Guidelines.

Following the end of play, all home games on a Saturday the bar will open and be ran exclusively by Joe Atkinson and Chairman Andy Lawrence. Only those on the executive committee and with prior approval will be allowed to serve drinks. The bar wont open for table service on a Sunday, but following the success of table service on Saturdays we will look to operate in the same way.

For now the bar will remain closed for our Junior Training nights whilst we get used to this new way of operating but we do hope to able to offer our Table Service on a Friday night very soon!

Following the government guidelines is key for us and with that in mind these key rules apply;

  • - Members, Guests and Spectators must remain seated at all times when consuming Alcohol or any other drinks.

  • - A maximum of 6 people per table, following government social distancing guidelines.

  • -NO ALCOHOL FROM OFFSITE CAN BE CONSUMED WITHIN THE GROUNDS OF THE CLUB, This will put us in serious breach of our Alcohol licence

  • -Drinks can only be purchased by Texting/WhatsApp your order as show in the image below.

  • -Payments will be contacless only, with NO cash being taken.

  • -The clubhouse will be open for Toilet and First Aid Access only.

These posters will be available on every table and bench in the ground.

By following these key guidelines we hope that we can make a secure and safe environment for all of our guests and members, and build towards the New Normal on the 21st June (Subject to Boris` approval)

We know this is all new, and as a committee it is new to us aswell, so any feedback about how we can make the process better is welcomed. Please be patient with us.

We look forward to welcoming all of our members, guest and spectators back to the club very very soon!

Thanks in Advance

The Executive and Cricket Committee.

This is great news! There's always such a good atmosphere on match days, it will be great to see people down at the ground again!
